Prof. Rajendra Babu Dubey

Prof. Rajendra Babu Dubey is a renowned academician,researcher, and administrator with over 32 years of distinguished academic service at the Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur. He served as Dean & Faculty Chairman, Rajasthan College of Agriculture, MPUAT, Udaipur.
Born on 10 July 1965, Prof. Dubey holds M.Sc. (Ag.) and Ph.D.degrees in Genetics and Plant Breeding and has 16 years of experience as Professor along with 20 years of administrative leadership. He has earlier served as Head of the Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding, Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Udaipur for three years, where he contributed significantly to academic planning, research strengthening, and human resource development.
He has also held the important position of Associate Director (Seed and Farms) at MPUAT, Udaipur, playing a key role in seed production, farm management, and technology dissemination. Prof. Dubey was associated with the All India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) on Maize for five years as Project Incharge, where he made notable contributions to maize improvement and varietal development. Prof. Dubey has successfully handled 38 research projects, developed 15 high yielding crop varieties, and published 260 research papers and articles in reputed national and international journals and magazines. He has guided 29 M.Sc. and Ph.D. scholars and has been honored with six prestigious academic awards. He has also facilitated 11 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to strengthen academic, research, and industry linkages.
An Eminent Educationist, Prof. Dubey has served on several statutory bodies, including Boards of Management, Academic Councils, Vice-Chancellor Search Committees and Selection Committees of teachers and officers of various universities in Rajasthan, nominated by the Government of Rajasthan and the Hon’ble Chancellor (Governor of Rajasthan). He has also served as an external examiner and subject expert for M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs across several universities.
With his visionary leadership, strong research background and deep commitment to excellence in agricultural education and governance, Prof. Rajendra Babu Dubey continues to contribute significantly to the advancement of agricultural education, research and institutional development in Rajasthan.
