Centre for Information Management & Computer Applications (CIMCA)
The centre came into existence with the establishment of Agricultural Research Information System (ARIS) by ICAR New Delhi in 1996. A major advancement took place in October, 2004 when the ARIS was transformed into CIMCA – Centre for Information Management and Computer Applications with the provision of RAU Local Area Network (LAN) with 120 nodes in all the buildings of the university campus. Later on due to the large demand of large number of users for internet connectivity, it was converted into Wide Area Network (WAN). Despite of distant locations of various functional units of SKRAU, Bikaner in Beechwal campus the CIMCA is providing e-communication and e-regulation of academic dimensions and e-governance of resource administration of SKRAU, Bikaner.
Major Activities:
- The centre provides LAN/WAN services by 1 GBPS leased line for internet connectivity in all offices and hostels of SKRAU for day to day online work/study and information management.
- University website www.raubikaner.org is being updated regularly. Various features related to University are available on the university website:
- Receiving grievances and uploading replies on Rajasthan Sampark Portal.
- Implementation of Integrated University management System (IUMS) for Salary, PF Pension, Budgeting, student admissions, examinations and Human Resource Management.
- Maintenance of computer hardware and software in university offices.
- Monitoring Intercom facility in ADM block and nearby offices.
- Supervision of Biometric machines in all offices of the university.
- Arrangement of PA system, national songs and photography on National Functions.
- Officer Incharge CIMCA is also performing following additional duties:
- Nodal Officer AISHE (All India Survey on Higher Education) Portal to compile information of all constituent colleges and university for MHRD New Delhi on annual basis and monitoring of timely data uploading by Affiliated colleges.
- Nodal Officer Integrated Higher Education Portal (HTE) of DoIT & C Jaipur for compiling information of all constituent colleges for admission, syllabus, fee structure, departments and eligibility of candidates for admission.
- DTO New Pension Scheme for the employees of SKRAU, Bikaner.
- Nodal officer of New Scholarship Portal of Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Rajasthan.
- Nodal Officer of National Knowledge Network Project (NKN)
- Nodal Officer of work related to Department of Information Technology and Communication Jaipur.
- Nodal Office of Statistical Analysis System – National Agriculture Innovation Project (SAS-NAIP).
- Nodal Officer of Biometric Attendance System of SKRAU, Bikaner.
- Nodal Officer of India Code Portal of Ministry of Law and Justice, Legislative, Department, Govt. of India.
- Nodal Officer of NHERC – Faculty and Student Data Portal of University Grant Commission.
- Nodal Officer of Jankalya Portal of Govt. of Rajasthan.
- All Webinars “On Line” Meetings are being managed by CIMCA.
