MANDATE OF KVK

1.

To collaborate with the subject matter specialists of the State Agricultural University/scientists of the regional station, NARP and the state education personnel in "On farm testing" refining and documenting technologies for developing region specific sustainable land use system.

2.

To organise training to update the extension personnel with in the area of operation with emerging advances in agricultural research on regular basis.

3.

To organise long term vocational courses in agriculture and allied vocations for the rural youth with the emphasis on "learning by doing" for generating self employment through institutional financing.

4.

To organise Front line Demonstrations/TDHPP in various crops to generate production data and feedback information.

Achievements / Activities:

1.

Conducted 222 Front line Demonstration on improved varieties of different crops, INM and IPM on chickpea (40), green gram (10), cluster bean (30), cumin (22).

2.

Conducted 29 on campus training programmes on various aspects of crop production, horticulture and animal husbandry for752 farmers.

3.

Organised 24 off campus training programmes on crop production and horticultural production practices, attended by 742 farmers .

4.

486 farmers visited KVK for technical knowhow and for solution of field problems. 286 farmers obtained technical knowhow on phone.

5.

13 field days on various crops were organized in kharif and rabi crop seasons with the participation of 418 farmers /farm women.

6.

One State level Farmer's Fair was organized in collaboration with Project Director ATMA, Bikaner and ROCL in which 11463 farmers /farm women were participated. Hon'ble Chief Minister Smt. Vasundra Raje was the Chief Guest.

7.

One Kisan goshthi was organized and was attended by 84 farmers.

8.

Farm women day was organized, 42 farm women participated in the programme.
